Notting Hill Apartments
Description
We were appointed to rework a substantial period building on a prominent Notting Hill road, transforming it into two generous duplex apartments. A key consideration was to give each residence its own clear identity within the existing structure, while opening the building up to far greater levels of light and outdoor space than its original layout allowed.
Each duplex enjoys its own private outdoor area, from a full footprint roof terrace that takes in the rooftops of the surrounding streets, to a landscaped garden conceived as a natural extension of the living spaces at lower ground level. The rear elevation has been reworked to draw daylight deep into the plan, with full width glazing framing uninterrupted views to the garden beyond and a material palette chosen to sit easily alongside the building's period character.
